About our organization.
Our Mission
The Deep Valley Arts Collective’s mission is to create a culture that nurtures artists' development and success while contributing to the well-being of our community.
Since opening Medium, our community-based art gallery, in 2021, we have supported hundreds of local artists through our free juried art exhibitions that include commission-free art sales.
Our History
The Deep Valley Arts Collective was formed by three local artists; Lillian Rubie, Chris Pugh, and Meredith Hudson, who came together with a shared vision for building a new model of supporting artists in our community.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy
The Deep Valley Arts Collective values of integrity, diversity, inclusivity, and fairness motivate our commitment to equity and drive the ways in which we engage with artists and the community as well as how we conduct all aspects of our business so that we can offer effective ways to benefit Mendocino County in perpetuity.
Land Acknowledgment
The Deep Valley Arts Collective recognizes that Mendocino County is located in the present and ancestral homeland and unceded territory of the Northern Pomo, Central Pomo, Southern Pomo, Coastal Pomo, Coast Yuki, Yuki, Huchnom, Sinkyone, Wailaki, and Cahto people.
Additionally, we honor those tribes who were brought to Mendocino County without choice and are now part of the Round Valley Indian Tribes including the Pit River, Nomlaki, and Concow people. We make this land acknowledgment in gratitude to these sovereign nations and with the awareness that our words must be consistent with our actions and attitudes.
